How To Customize Your Hoverboard

Well you have your hoverboard (self-balancing scooter), but since it is on the stock design, looks plain. If you are looking to make yours into something custom and unique that will turn heads this is just the place to be. Here is how I customized mine into the beauty that it is for just twenty dollars.

What You Need: An X-Acto Knife + Sticker Decals + Duct tape

What You Do: Begin in the area of your board where the power button and charging port are located. Cover the area with the duct tape and use the X-Acto knife to cut the area back out. The knife is favorable in this scenario as it gives you the ability to get more precise cuts with ease. The next thing you need to do is tape the bottom of the board.

There is no exact pattern to this because of the pattern of the duct tape chosen, but it may vary depending on the tape you chose as the aim is to ensure that nobody can notice where the tape begins and ends. In my case, taping begun from the center of the wheel, flowing slowly towards the center of the board. Use the X-Acto knife to clear up the overhung tape. This is to prevent your scooter from getting tangled up or picking up debris as you ride.

The next thing is to cover the side of the board that has the lights. Use the knife to cut out the parts of the tape that are covering the lights. This is a delicate part as you need to be keen not to scratch up your lights. The final thing is to place the sticker deals on the bumper as precisely as possible. The best thing about this method is that the tape can be replaced if it is damaged or interchanged with a different one to switch up the designs.
